Hiroshima, Mon Amour

Morten Barker’s work Hiroshima mon amour is inspired by the movie of the same name by Alain Resnais. The image combines two different horizons – the Lunar and that of Hiroshima after the nuclear bombing.

When put in a book format, this hybrid landscape tells a visual dialogue without any words, and generates the possibility to see the scenery created by the artist in an unusual perspective.

Morten Barker Born in 1972 and graduated from The Surrey Institute of Art & Design, in Farnham, England. He has exhibited his works at FOMU, in Antwerp, Viborg Kunsthal, Gallery Image, Nooderlicht Photo Festival and Peter Lav Gallery.
