WORK PROCESS
The Platform work process is implemented in two stages:

Creative Guidance
SHOWCASE AND TUTORING – NEW ARTISTS
Selected through an open call, a group of new artists will attend the Showcase. At this event, they will present their previous works and participate in tutoring sessions. They will be encouraged to critically assess and discuss their peer’s artwork in order to consolidate their own projects.
TUTORING – NEW CURATORS
The new curators, also selected through an open call, work with the exhibitor’s members during a weekend meeting to present their ideas for the project. Each exhibitor will then partner with a new curator to pursue further work.
ARTISTIC GUIDANCE – NEW ARTISTS
This phase can last for an extended period of time and take place in different locations. The new artists will develop a body of work, with the tutors’ online support.
ARTISTIC GUIDANCE – NEW CURATORS
Each exhibitor welcomes a new curator, who will in turn learn about the institution and assist the curator/tutor.
CURATORSHIP
After examining the work created by the new artist, the new curator organises the final presentation at the exhibitors’ venue.
Exhibition Platform
EXHIBITION MUSEUMS/FESTIVALS/GALLERIES
Building on the experience acquired in Artistic Guidance and Curatorship activities, New curators will design an exhibition at each one of the Platform members’ venues.
PARALLEL PUBLICATIONS
For each exhibition, the Platform will publish a Catalogue and, at the end of each cycle, the Parallel Atlas.
PARALLEL INTERSECTION
The key event of the project is the Parallel Intersection. It puts together for the first time, all the work produced by the new creators. It’s also the moment when cycles overlap: the closing of one cycle and the opening of the next. This “intersection” aims to stimulate cross-fertilisation between creators and also encourages exchanging and communication between new artists and curators. The PARALLEL Intersection will take place in a different city each year.
PARALLEL REVIEW
The moment when the exhibitions produced by the new curators with the work of the new artists is presented together.
