Mafalda Duarte Barrela

Mafalda Duarte Barrela is a Portuguese curator at the beginning of her career and has a BSc in Management. She is passionate about the topic of abjection, a theme she hopes to develop in a future academic career. Other interests include the feeling of disgust in art, ugliness, feminism, gender and sexuality.

She curated exhibitions for the artists Miguel Palma, Joana Falcão and Sara Ramone. In the future, Duarte hopes to combine her curatorial practice with academic research and build a career as an art critic.
